A 39 Ω resistor has a voltage difference of 8 V across its leads. What is the current through the resistor? I thought you used the I=V/R equation and divide 8 by 39 and get an answer of .205 but that is incorrect. Can someone tell me why?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

how do you know it is incorrect? it seems right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

V = I*R

@GVSU2016 I agree with you, what was the "approved" solution? I can not tell why that is incorrect, in fact I am convinced it is correct.
