OpenStudy (narissa):

DOES ANYONE KNOW VOLUMES? CAN SOMEONE CHECK MY ANSWERS PLEASE!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is it

OpenStudy (narissa):

what is the approximate volume of a cylinder with a diameter of 14m and a height of 10m use 3.14 for pi i picked 1538.6m^3

OpenStudy (narissa):

the others answers are---219.8^3, 439.6m^3, 6154.4^3

OpenStudy (narissa):

next question what is the exact volume of a cylinder that has a radius of 9.2 in and a height of 3.7 in i picked 983.85tt in^3

OpenStudy (narissa):

next question----what is a volume of a cone that has a radius of 4cm and a height of 9 cm use 3.14 to approximate pi and express your answer in the hundreths i picked 150.8

OpenStudy (narissa):

next question ---what is the exact volume of a sphere that has a radius of 7.5 ft i picked 1767.15 tt ft^3

Nnesha (nnesha):

done or you have more ??

OpenStudy (narissa):

next question ---what is the volume of a sphere that has a diameter of 42cm use 3.14 to approximate pi and answer in hundreths i picked 1765.15 cm^3

OpenStudy (narissa):

thats it

Nnesha (nnesha):

post one question at a time

Nnesha (nnesha):

letz do first one

OpenStudy (narissa):

ok

OpenStudy (narissa):

u mean post it again

Nnesha (nnesha):

nope

OpenStudy (narissa):

ok

Nnesha (nnesha):

for first one formula of cylinder \[\huge\rm v = \pi \times r^2 \times h\] they gave u the diameter but in the formula u have r which is radius remember radius is half of diameter so first divide diameter by 2 and the substitute all values into th formula and solve

Nnesha (nnesha):

the*

OpenStudy (narissa):

1538.6

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes right

Nnesha (nnesha):

2nd question is same do that and let me know wh at you get

Nnesha (nnesha):

ohh wait

OpenStudy (narissa):

245.83 if its same as the first one?

OpenStudy (narissa):

never mind because it says exact

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes so what's the answer for 2nd one ??

OpenStudy (narissa):

dont know how to find exact

OpenStudy (narissa):

is the same formula?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes right same type of question so yes

OpenStudy (narissa):

im going to medal u and repost this one thanks a whole lot!!!!

Nnesha (nnesha):

exact mean not converting into decimal

OpenStudy (narissa):

then its 245.83???????

Nnesha (nnesha):

nope show your work that's not right how did you plug values ?

OpenStudy (narissa):

I put 3.14 *4.6^2*3.7

Nnesha (nnesha):

4.6 ??

OpenStudy (narissa):

i divided 9.2 by 2

Nnesha (nnesha):

radius is half of diameter but they already gave u the radius

OpenStudy (narissa):

so its 3.14 * 9.2 * 3.7???

Nnesha (nnesha):

r^2 so 9.2^2

OpenStudy (narissa):

983.34

OpenStudy (narissa):

???

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep right do you have answer choices for that ?

OpenStudy (narissa):

noo

Nnesha (nnesha):

exact value would be 983 i guess bec of *not converting into decimal *

OpenStudy (narissa):

k thanks can u help with the others or no?

Nnesha (nnesha):

volume of cone use this formula \[\huge\rm v =\frac{ 1 }{ 3 } \pi \times r^2 \times h\]

OpenStudy (narissa):

k the answer should be 452.16 but it says to hundreths place????

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes two number of decimal

OpenStudy (narissa):

am i right but is hundreths before or after decimal?

OpenStudy (narissa):

so it would be 452

Nnesha (nnesha):

that's not right how did you plug that one ?

OpenStudy (narissa):

i'm confused! i did 3.14* 4*4 * 9 =452.16

Nnesha (nnesha):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Nnesha volume of cone use this formula \[\huge\rm v =\frac{ 1 }{ 3 } \pi \times r^2 \times h\] \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) formula to find VOLUEM OF CONE replace are and h by their values

Nnesha (nnesha):

not are r*

Nnesha (nnesha):

there is 1/3

OpenStudy (narissa):

oops!

OpenStudy (narissa):

432??

OpenStudy (narissa):

then to hundredths would be400????

Nnesha (nnesha):

nope that's not right 452.16 divide by 3 ?

OpenStudy (narissa):

151.053

OpenStudy (narissa):

@Data_LG2

Nnesha (nnesha):

look it there again what number did you plug into the calculator

OpenStudy (narissa):

oh I thought u left!!!!!

Nnesha (nnesha):

a*

OpenStudy (narissa):

now got 150.72

OpenStudy (narissa):

so it would be 151????

Nnesha (nnesha):

nope hundreths place which suppose to be 2 number after decimal so 150.72 is right

OpenStudy (narissa):

k thanks!!!

Nnesha (nnesha):

np

OpenStudy (narissa):

im going to post again if u want to help i will medal u again but thanks again!!!
