@wio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that referendum is when citizens vote on legislation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Recall is usually when citizens decide to prematurely replace an elected official

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

I looked over the information given to me in the lesson, I got alienation as 1, recall as 4 and referendum as 2, the one you said.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

so would recall be 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You already put recall as 4

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Yes but I'm not sure if it is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think recall sounds more like 4

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Okay, and in your opinion do you think alienation is 1 or do you think that is wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not completely sure.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

In my lesson it says "The initiative is a method that allows the citizens themselves to assume the power of a law-making body to legislate."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alienation is when someone is isolated or unwelcome. Dissent is when you disagree or disobey

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess that if the government is being alienated, then 1 fits best

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

with dissent or alienation, or are you talking about initiative?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

initiative is 5

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Okay. I was thinking since 3 says "accept government's authority but disagreeing with political decision" perhaps it would be dissent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

I turned it in, got an 88% thanks for the help :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do they say about alienation in the book?

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

it says "alienation is the repudiation of the existing governmental system"
