The account of Pocahontas's rescue of John Smith is believed to have been _____. fictional historical allegorical
I believe it's allegorical
Captain John Smith, who led the earliest English exploration of the Virginia area, kept a careful account of his exploits, but he embellished them quite a bit. His account, A True Relation, 1608, was the first book to be written in America. Many modern historians think that his rescue by Pocahantas was actually an imaginative event and not an actual one. Captain Smith's account, however, comes alive for the reader, holding his interest. This account reveals an air of confidence and faith even when things looked the darkest for Captain Smith and his men: heres the paragraph
I want to say it could be Allegorical but then again it could also be Historical. Where did you find your information?
I was thinking the same thing, but it couldn't possibly be fictional cause it's not a fantasy and this is an actual being
Yeah I would say it is Historical because all of the information I just looked up says that Pocahontas saved him.
@Lady.Liv1776
It is historical because it is relating historical fact in an informative nature :)
yeah but the rescue was actually an imaginative event not an actual one, and an another work for allergy is imaginative
That's what I was trying to say @Lady.Liv1776 Thank you. Sometimes I just can't get my words out properly sometimes. lol :)
It does @usmcbennett96 but the key word "many" refers to the fact that not all do. It is still historical because overall, the paragraph is about the writings of John Smith, not about Pocahontas saving him or not. You're welcome :) lol @elizadaniel
Thanks @Lady.Liv1776
Anytime!
@Lady.Liv1776 @elizadaniel we were all wrong the answer was fictional
Aw what? I'm sorry about that :3 I for sure thought it was historical
