C is not true the Africans that worked on these sugar plantations did not work there voluntarily, there were slaves. European sugarcane plantation owners brought in lots of money from sugar cane plantations it was a huge industry back in colonial times. And these plantations produced the majority of the sugar consumed in Western Europe.
