MIT 6.189 A Gentle Introduction to Programming Using Python (OCW) 18 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey guys, I was wondering what would be a good follow-up to this course? thanks, Tom

OpenStudy (davidusa):

CS50 By Harvard

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

The small intro gets you the basics and terminology. Any CS class would be a good followup, and the online and free version of CS50 By Harvard that David is pointing out would be good. In fact, most any Courcera, edX, or Udacity cource on intro programming would be good. You could also find small projects and do more on your own. Or, if you want some more self paced stuff where you have to drive yourself, you could try this one: http://www.pythonlearn.com/ Book and videos. Watch the videos, go through the book, do the assignents in the book. Any trouble, ask on here. It is an information based class done by one of the professors that helped write the regex standard so he really knows his stuff.

OpenStudy (davidusa):

It's Coursera, not Courcera by the way.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Ah, the joys of dyslexia... I work phonetically a lot. Thanks to c and k as well as c and s sharing sounds, it gets fun at times.
