HI!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

remove the parentheses in the second part by distributing the minus sign then, as the math teachers say, combine like terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

keep switch change so you keep the first part ( -y^2 - 3y -5) flip the minus sign to a positive sign and change the last part to (3y^2 + 7y -4) in the end the new equation would be (-y^2 - 3y -5) + (3y^2 +7y -4)

so would it be B? @misty1212 @kisfa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
