The scatter plot shows different students’ grade point averages (GPA) and scores on a test. What is the equation of the graphed linear model? y =___x +___ http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1549000_1549500/1549112/4/7390c9fb9a63b8e12222a8022220158e8dc6e5ae/MS_IMC-141014-181216.jpg
y= mx +b m = slope b = y intercept
1.5x+30
wrong
how
b is the y - intercept (where the line crosses the y - axis)
I'm a little confused I was never good in graphs. graphs was always my fail point :/
y=mx+b is all you need, m is the slope, to find that you can use the following formula \[ m = \frac{ y_{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]
You can use any two points for it, and look b is the y - intercept as I said earlier, where the line crosses the y-axis, so in this case it's 40.
I'm still confused I did all the equation stuff and I still don't understand
Where are you confused?
Please be more specific, that way I can help you better
I think you may need to read this: http://www.mathsisfun.com/equation_of_line.html you will understand then
Well thanks anyway I guess..
You never said where you were confused, I gave you all the info.
You can either read the link I sent you/ tell me where your problem is/ stay confused.
