OpenStudy (x3_drummerchick):

how do i simplify this? 4/((7/5x)-4) cant i just simplify the 4/-4, and get (7/5x)-1 as the as the simplified form?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Do you mean: \[\frac{ \frac{ 7 }{ 5 }x - 4 }{ 4 }\]

OpenStudy (x3_drummerchick):

the 4 is the numerator, the other portion is the denominator

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Oh so the denominator (in the fraction that I put) is the numerator and the numerator is the denominator?
