In which sentence is all punctuation correct? Ted Kennedy was a United States Senator from Massachusetts, he served nine terms in the Senate. Ted Kennedy was a United States Senator from Massachusetts: he served nine terms in the Senate. Ted Kennedy was a United States Senator from Massachusetts; he served nine terms in the Senate. @Whitemonsterbunny17
What's your guess?
A good way to solve the problem is to, firstly, look at the differences in punctuation, then secondly, define each one- ask yourself, what does a comma do? what does a colon do? what does a semi-colon do? And what's the difference. For this particular question, note that the sentence itself is actually made up of 2 sentences (or 2 independent clauses, meaning each part separated by the punctuation can stand alone). CLUE? It's not the comma. Hope this helps without breaking OS rules

Wow, amazing response! @Kennedii
Thanks. Hope this actually helps with other questions like this. And yes @Artiom9146 because a semi-colon acts like a conjunction, it joins. It also helps in a run-on sentence.
Dude. You deserve a way higher smart score than you have now. XD
