Do you know how to calculate the circumference of a complete circle?
OpenStudy (narissa):
can u tell me the steps and i can do it?
OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):
The formula for the circumference of a circle is: 2*pi*R, where R is the radius of the circle. The circumference of the circle is the length of the 'perimeter' of it.
So, if you only need the perimeter of half of the circle, it would be easiest to find the perimeter of the whole circle, then divide by 2, since it's asking for HALF.

its not right?

Nope.

28.26?
OpenStudy (narissa):
thank u
OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):
Hmm, maybe. That is the length of the curve of the semicircle. But it might also include the flat side of the semicircle.
OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):
I'm not too sure. They do say perimeter, so I assume they also want you to add the flat side.

But that will be easy, since the length of the flat side is the length of the diameter, or 2*radius of the circle.
