Plzz help! Look at the graph below: Which part of the graph best represents the solution set to the system of inequalities y ≥ x + 1 and y + x ≤ -1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. Part A B. Part B C. Part C D. Part D

@iGreen @inowalst @mathteacher1729 plz help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. Sowy. :'( Not good at math at all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its cool

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

do you have any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no not really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BloomLocke367 can u help me plz and also @iambatman

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

can you identify which lines those equations make?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u mean like which part (part A, part B, part C and part D) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BloomLocke367 ^

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

no... can you just find the lines for the linear inequalities?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah would it be < or = to and > or = to?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

that's not what I mean. you need to first just find the line y=x+1 and line y=-x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry im not that good in math can u explain ^

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

if you were to graph y=x+1, what would it look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@inowalst @Math&ReadingHelp @Helpppmeee1999 @HelpMePlease14 @Loser66 plz help me with this Q ^

Note that |dw:1427848570021:dw| right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if you add 1 |dw:1427848624058:dw| this is what happens, you're adding 1 in the x - direction so it moves towards the left.
