ok
so the diameter of the circle is 20cm, circumference is pi*diameter, so a semi-circle is half of that
so (1/2)*3.14*20=31.4cm
so do 3.14 x 20
now what
take half of that 3.14*20 and that is the perimeter of the circle, add 40 and thats your answer
ok
when u say "half", do u mean divide by 2??
@jeweaver6895
is 102.8 the answer
@jeweaver6895
No, 108.8 is not correct. Take you finger and place it at point P. Now trace the half circle with you finger until you reach point R. The distance you traced with your finger is 31.4 cm. Which you calculate by multiplying pi (3.14) times 20 and then dividing by 2. So 3.14*20 = 62.8 cm. Now divide 62.8 by 2 = 31.4 cm. Now continue tracing with you finger starting at point R until you reach point Q. This distance is 20 cm. So the total distance so far that you traced with your finger is 31. 4 cm + 20 cm= 51.4 cm Now finish tracing around the figure with your finger by starting at Q and returning to point P. The distance from point Q to point P is also 20 cm. So the total distance around the figure is 31.4 + 20 + 20 = 71.4 cm.
