I am really stuck on this question! Best answer will get a medal. Im not sure what the answer is because cardiac cells have one nucleus and no striations. While skeletal muscle cells have multiple nuclei and striations. You are examining two unknown muscle cells under the microscope. Cell A could be cardiac muscle and cell B could be skeletal muscle if both are striated both have one nucleus cell A is multinucleated and cell B is branched cell A is striated and cell B is branched

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Do you know?

OpenStudy (leonardo0430):

both of the cardiac and skeletal muscles are striated but cardiac are single celled whereas skeletal muscle are multinucleated

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! I am really confused because in my lesson and in the notes I took it says that cardiac muscles have no striations.

OpenStudy (leonardo0430):

you can thank @inowalst :)

OpenStudy (inowalst):

No no. I didn't do anything. Thank YOU.

OpenStudy (leonardo0430):
