Hi everybody! For the first parcel, which is 1 2/3, it is read as 'one two third'. To simplify this, we multiply the denominator by the whole nmber and add the numerator. The answer for this will be the new numerator, but the denominator will always remain. Hence, the first one becomes 5/3 and the second one, 11/9. Secondly, in division of fractions, we multiply the first one by the inverse of the second one, giving us 5/3 * 9/11= 45/33.
