@tjb69812 my answers are also on the image along with the questions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK. So for #9 a^2+b^2=c^2 1^2+1^2=c^2 c = sqrt 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then from here: sin(a) = 1 / sqrt2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait I have to solve it? I thought I just had to write the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since sin = opposite / hypotenuse you need to find the hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the direction told me to use the given triangles to identify the trigonometric ratios. i thought that meant the equation... wow.. okay back to what you were saying.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SOH - sin CAH - cos TOA - tan if you haven't learned this it's very helpful!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have learned that :]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cos(a) = 1/sqrt2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(b) = 1/sqrt2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cos(b) = 1/sqrt2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I see now what you're doing.. thanks again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem! Now apply that to #10. Practice makes perfect
