A large hurricane moves through a small island in the Caribbean. What are the consequences to this island's plant and animal diversity? The island will lose all abiotic factors needed by plant and animal populations. The island's ecosystem will recover due to primary succession. The island will lose all of the plant and animal populations of the island. The island will suffer a loss of native plant and animal species

I'm not sure if its B or D

Hmmm I think it is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are real examples where large storm surges from hurricanes completely remove lizard life from islands. There was a series of publications on testing evolution founder effects and the like.

Getting a good feeling from option B XD

OpenStudy (marcon):

Ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think this is a bad question. The best answer would really be that the island would lose both plant and animal life, but maybe not all life or species. Depending on the level of destruction this may result in the loss of all species or not.

OpenStudy (marcon):

The answer was D
