how do you get the answer 5π/6 by solving tan^-1(1/-√3) + 1π ? all the steps or any links that I can study them would be really great :) Thanks

OpenStudy (welshfella):

tan^-1(1/-√3) first find the angle less than 90 dgrees ( in first quadran) that has a tan of 1/sqrt3 there's a standard triangle which can be used |dw:1427987904232:dw|

OpenStudy (welshfella):

thats anggle x which is 30 degrees or pi/6 radians

OpenStudy (welshfella):

but we have negative 1 / sqrt3 which will givw an angle in the second quadrant
