Help me out with domain and range please!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug in all of the numbers of the domain (the domain are just x values) and then you will find the range. The range is just the smallest to largest y value.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did, my answers didnt show up

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the range is all the y values that the domain produces, not an interval. the domain is discrete, the range is discrete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When i plugged in -3 for the equation i ended up with the y value of -2.5 It doesn't show that on the answers!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, what he ^ said. I'm not familiar with whatever notation that is though. I've never written a range like that.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

simplify: 3 - 6/x when x=-3, 3--3 = 0

OpenStudy (amistre64):

-2 lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

3--2 = 5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

3(-3)-6 15 ------- = -- -3 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh, okay. I was using a calculator and the equation was messed up. Ugh, i really need to start doing things by hand. :/

OpenStudy (amistre64):

..... yeah, by hand works most of the time, calculators dull your brain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heck yea, they do!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks btw.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yep, and only one options has a 5 in it ... but you might want to do 1 or 2 more of the domain to be certian.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright tho, thanks!
