Ok let's take a look at this @sophialom.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

\[\left| 10x \right| > -2\]

OpenStudy (korosh23):

\[\left| ? \right| \]

OpenStudy (korosh23):

Ignore that question mark, but those two lines next to each other indicate absolute value. The absolute value of a positive number is positive and absolute value of negative number is positive. So now we know \[\left[ 10x \right]\] is 10x because it is a positve number. Thus, we write our answer like this now, \[10x > -2\]

OpenStudy (korosh23):

I am sorry I could not finish it. I had problem with my internet connection.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

Now do this. \[\frac{ 10x }{ 10 } > \frac{ -2 }{ 10 }\] Remember that when you do something to one side, you have to do it to the other side as well. Now x > \[\frac{ -1 }{ 5}\]

OpenStudy (korosh23):

x > -1/5 I hope my answer helped. If you needed any more help, please do not hesitate to ask. I would also appreciate if you write me a fan testimonial. Thanks. :)
