I was asked to calculate the wavelength of acoustic wave from an experiment involving two acoustic sources. Which formula should I use? λ = ax/D or nλ = d sin θ?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

they're kinda the same thing. what was the experiment

The experiment was similar to the Young's Double Slit experiment. But in this case, two loudspeakers were used. Basically I was asked to use nλ = d sin θ formula but I find using λ = ax/D is easier. So can I use λ = ax/D instead of nλ = d sin θ?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

short answer, yes read here if you are interested but they are the same thing from different angles
