What is the role of osteocytes, osteoblasts, and osteoclasts in bone repair

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@bibby

OpenStudy (somy):

what do you already know about those?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know they are all found in the bone

OpenStudy (somy):

what about what do they do and what they are?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The osteocyte is capable of bone deposition and resorption. osteoclasts, breaks it down. ostesoblast make the bone i think.

OpenStudy (somy):

\(\sf \color{red}{Osteoblast}\) is the differentiated bone-forming cell that secretes bone matrix \(\sf \color{red}{Osteocyte}\) the mature bone cell, residing in lacuna, is enclosed by bone matrix that is previously secreted by an osteoblast \(\sf \color{red}{Osteoclast}\) is a large multinucleated cell whose function is resorption of bone

OpenStudy (somy):

\(\sf \color{red}{Osteoblasts}\): - bone forming cells - found on surface of bone - no ability to mitotically divide - collagen secretors \(\sf \color{red}{Osteocytes}\): - mature bone cells - derived form osteoblasts - do not secrete matrix material - cellular duties include exchange of nutrients and waste with blood. \(\sf \color{red}{Osteoclasts}\): - bone resorbing cells - bone surface - growth, maintenance and bone repair

wow thank you man . This i really going to help me understand i really appreciate the help

OpenStudy (somy):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVougiCEgH8 listen to this carefully and correlate the functions of each cell i believe you will be able to understand what are the roles of each in repairing

OpenStudy (somy):

you are welcome lol p.s. im a girl :D

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

@Somy ......wow you smart

OpenStudy (somy):

lol @oOKawaiiOo i'd say same about you :D
