OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is A idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Figureskater12

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

this is not about guessing try to solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i will try give me a sec

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

is this all picture given already

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A because it passes through 0 and -4 is this correct?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

|dw:1428169124569:dw|

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

hint: we have to apply this equation: \[y - {y_1} = m\left( {x - {x_1}} \right)\] where m is the slope and (x_1, y_1) is the point at which our line has to passes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im still confused...

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

I guess the pic are wrong

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

bez the graph has to be on (0,-4)

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

|dw:1428169436211:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C has a point on 0,-4

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

the pic is correct

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

like as this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it is C

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

yes

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

sorry my bad i don't see the pic correctly

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

hint: after substitution, of your data into my equation, you should get this: \[y + 4 = \frac{1}{4}x\]

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

great

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4 + 4 = 1/4 x 0 ?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

it was easy as it was the only graph which passes through point \((0,-4)\) but in case if the option had more than \(2\) lines passing through the same point u need to check the two points and find the slope if it equals \(\dfrac14\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do i check if the two points equal a slope of 1/4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it y2 - y1 / x2 - x1 = slope

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

in graph the the two points are \((x_1,y_1)\implies (-4,-5)\) and \((x_2,y_2)\implies (0,-4)\) formula for slope is \(\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks anyways :D

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

all the guess work
