so it helps me to separate the coefficients and the exponents first. so you can multiply -2 by 6 which equals...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-12 ?
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
yep and then you can do the same thing for the second part -2 times -7
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-14?

actually a negative times a negative is positive so it would be +14
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
and then you have -2 times -2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh yea true
OpenStudy (anonymous):
4?
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
yep :) now we have -12 + 14 + 4 right?

now with the exponents, because you are working with multiplication you will add the exponents okay
OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
Yea! goodjob :D
OpenStudy (anonymous):

one thing is that the last term should be x to the 4th because a regular x has an exponent of 1 so adding three would get 4 but other than that perfect :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay thanks it would be 4x^4 than ?
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
yep! your wwelcome :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thanks your the best
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
