Need to know how to find the temp that melted the ice!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What temperature does water freeze at? It should be the same temperature that ice melts at.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ice melts at 0 deg celcius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, but I need to find the temp that melted the ice in the lab!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Need to feel in the blank on trial two where it says "Heat that is needed to melt the ice"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have the answer on the 1 trial but I need to know how to do it..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So they are asking for the answer i joules right, not temperature.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you calculate the 3732 value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't. That was already there!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The temperature in joules!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Temperature isn't measured in joules, it's measured in kelvin or degrees celsius. I'm not sure how to answer the problem though, sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to turn it into joules...

In general, ice begins to melt at 0 degree celcius until it reaches to about room temperatrure at which ice remains as water. Room temperature is baout 25 degree's celcius which is about 75 degrees fahrenheit |dw:1428559083394:dw|
