I don't know what specific method they want you do use. I suppose they want you to find the two perfect squares on either side of 68, then take the average of them? Kind of like this: http://www.virtualnerd.com/algebra-1/algebra-foundations/powers-square-roots/square-roots/square-root-estimation But I'm not 100% sure and I don't want to have you use the "incorrect method".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look at this!!they said this was wrong!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the said to use the "perfect square method". what ever that means..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try 8.25.. its a shot in the dark, but worth trying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10.40 or 10.39?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tylermcmullen23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

id try 10.38

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a picture people can actually see, wow lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because last time we had to round dow, we ended being too high by .01

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this one is your call lol, i ttried the other 2.. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell me what you think n ill see if i think its worth trying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 11.31

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you think we should take away .01and make it 11.30?? or try 11.31?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well look at last time...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you think we should take away???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probably

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets try it, if im wrong again, ill just keep looking it up and trying to figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...but i only get 3 tries

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you mind if i get a 2nd opinion ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not at all, please do
