During fertilization in sexual reproduction, the nuclei of an egg and sperm unite to produce an embryo with a complete set of genetic information. Why is only one nucleus necessary to make a clone in nuclear transplantation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u have multiple choice or is this a put into your own words type deal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have multiple choice A) the electricity used in nuclear transplantation makes the body cell nucleus divide, forming two nuclei B) Clones do not need two copies of each chromosomes to function properly , so one nucleus is enough C) There are two nuclei in nuclear transplantation : one from the egg cell and one from the body cell D) Unlike body cells, gametes have one half of the DNA present in the organism.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok that makes it easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well do you have a idea of what it could be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, none lol im sorry!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

me to cus idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol it's okay haha!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any thing such as info from your lesson or text book u can use

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, im sorry! thanks for trying lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i refuse to give up even if it is a hard question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol hahaha thank you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so when my brain fails Google it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i did already and got nothing!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you tried taking a different class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or maybe talking ur teach

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My teacher hasnt replied and im taking a test!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sry had to take care of something

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and bummer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe @iGreen can help with this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, well thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really? WHO?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@InExileWeTrust

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he may be able to help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@abb0t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i keep popping in and out i am trying to find da people

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@InExileWeTrust

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thik u can help @InExileWeTrust

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

I think so. I would need to read over some things.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

Okay, from what I understand, it is talking about cloning correct?

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

where do you find the chromosomes inside of a cell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, and idk lol!

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

Okay, the chromosomes can be found inside the nucleus. In these chromosomes, you can find DNA.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did he help

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

If cloning is to make a copy, then you would need an original to produce a copy. you don't need to to double one.

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

@Beautykillzz

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

I am not sure what the best answer is. I just wanted to throw a penny or two into the thought jar.
