Mehek (mehek14):

question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mehek (mehek14):

you substitute the value of x from the second equation into the first one

Mehek (mehek14):

so what does x = in the second equation?

Mehek (mehek14):

@kevindragonlord ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y + 3 but what is y I don't know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be C because the second equation is x=y+3 so replacing x in the first equation with y+3 will give you (y+3)-y=7.

Mehek (mehek14):

ok so since x = y + 3 you can put that instead of x in the first equation

Mehek (mehek14):

so what will that give you?

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Simple way: Substitution means to substitute X value is given take X equals and plug it in the opposite equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you everyone

Mehek (mehek14):

yw

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

\[(Plug~the~X~value~here)y=7\]
