The box plot shows the number of years during which 24 colleges have participated in a local college fair: A boxplot is titled Years of Participation and labeled Years. Number line from 0 to 10 with primary markings and labels at 0, 5, and 10. The box extends from 2 to 7 on the number line. There is a vertical line at 4. The whiskers end at 0 and 9. At least how many schools have participated for 2 years or fewer? A 2 schools B 4 schools C 6 schools D 7 schools
what do we have at our disposal to determine this with?
in other words, how do we determine the quartiles that the box plot is built from?
thats the only approach id know of to find a solution
if we have n data points, sorted then 1q = n/4 is the positional value of those between the minimum data point, and the first quartile position.
