See if this helps you! Given the rational function: f(x)=7x / x^2-16 a. The domain When checking domain look for terms with sqrt and zeros in the denominator which would make function undefined. Since there are no sqrts in given equation, check for zeros in the denominator. x^2-16=0 (x+4)(x-4)=0 x=-4 and x=4 domain:{x|x≠-4, x≠4}, or (-∞,-4) U (-4, 4) U (4, ∞)

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

hint: what is the domain of this function: \[\large \sqrt x \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Michele_Laino Infinity? So my answer is A?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

the domain of the function: \[\sqrt x \] is the set: \[\left( {0, + \infty } \right)\] Now, please you have to write the formula of your function g(f(x)), and then you have to use my hint

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

more precisely the domain of that function is: \[[0, + \infty )\]

@Michele_Laino thank you so much

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

thank you!
