I tried to work it out but i kept getting higher numbers that couldn't be reduced

@Somy

well 50% fewer would be half, and half of three is 1.5 cans. and we want just a little more than that, not quite half the only options that are similar are A and B which are 1 1/5 and 1 4/5. and we want little more than 1 and a half so it would be B 1 and 4/5. :) I hope that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hope I did that all right, I tried my best :)

OpenStudy (somy):

3 cans is 100% Fawn wants to use only 60% of it (40% less than original amount) so considering this if you were to make a fraction in your options all denominators are 5 thus 100% = 5 60% = ? do cross multiplication and you will get the number of your nominator so now u will have nominator and denominator of the fraction and the fraction is multiplied by 3

Listen to @Somy, they know how to do it better than me XD

OpenStudy (somy):

numerator*

OpenStudy (somy):

lol not really :) im just using the math logic @AutumnRoseT my fields are biology, chemistry and health science :D

You tried @AutumnRoseT you said you'll try your best to help and thank you for trying :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya well I'm an 11th grader so its been a long time since I've done a problem like this XD I was kinda just using cooking logic instead of the actual math XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha yup I'm in 7th supposed to be in 8th but blue ridge has a lot of hard stuff but in november I started k12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh btw this was not a question from a quiz I just needed extra help on a practice test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks guys for the help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Somy is the answer B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cause thats what I got

OpenStudy (somy):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks for the help @Somy

OpenStudy (somy):

no problem :)
