There has been some debate about this. Let's look at some ways that are used to make and use ATP, the coal of the cellular steam engine. One of the most basic pathways for making ATP is glycolysis. Glycolysis breaks down glucose and has a net production of 2 ATP. The process can be found in Eubacteria, Archaea, and Eukarya. So it is in all the domains of life. There is no natural source of glucose that is abiotic. Glucose is not like salt, you cannot mine it, only life makes glucose and it is the end process of pathways in photosynthesis or other autotrophic metabolic pathways, such as the lifeforms at the bottom of the ocean near deep sea ocean vents. Does that information give you a hint?
