okay hello again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HI!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First find the area of the rectangle in the middle. Do you know how to find the area of a rectangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

times 20 and 7 what do u get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get 1400

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ans @sammixbᴏᴏ no i dont know how to do that sadly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just multiply 20*7, and you are close! It isn't 1400, it's 140 :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so the area of the rectangle is 140, now we must find the area of the two semicircles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh lol ops my bad typo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

140 is your awnser.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since the two semicircles are the same size, w can combine them to make one full circle, then you find the area of that circle. We know that the diameter is 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u time 20 and 7 to get 140.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And the formula to find the area of a circle is A = Pi*r^2 A = area pi = 3.14 r = radius (half of diameter)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you tell me what the radius is if the diameter is 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its realy 140.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she went of track.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that it.
