How do you find the x and y intercept of -y=12-4x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, it would be easier to multiply by -1 on both sides to get y=4x-12 so that it's in slope intercept form. And because the x-intercept is (x,0) and the y intercept is (0,y) you just plug in zero for each of the values and you get the variable that you are looking for To find the x-int, you just solve for x in 0=4x-12 and for the y-int, you just solve for y in y=4(0)-12
