1. Does the sentence make sense to fill the blank Everybody who participates in the boys' soccer camp must bring__________own bag lunch a. my b. our c. his d. their
medals
What sounds right to you?
Think about this: The subject of this sentence is :"Everyone." That's a plural subject. It's also in the third person. Based from this information, which answers can you rule out? @urbanmorgans Also, here's another suggestion. Try plugging in words in the blank. If it doesn't make sense, then move on to another. For example: Everybody who participates in the boys' soccer camp must bring __my__ own lunch bag ^ now does that make sense? not really :)
and you did not tag
read the and help
Everyone is a singular subject...not plural
that dons't make sense

well i guess "everybody who participates in the boys' soccer camp" is the actual full subject...and this definitely refers to more than one person
Did you read it? Things generally make sense if you read them.
well their sounds right i guess
true. But shoot just realized...@texaschic101 was right..."Everybody" itself is a singular subject, even though it may refer to more than one person.
I feel like they put "their" as one of the answers to trick you ;-; http://www.crossville-chronicle.com/opinion/stumptalk-everyone-must-bring-his-book/article_953a3172-d36a-5ee3-bbec-859f6926c3da.html ^ check out the first sentence of this article.

" everybody " is definitely a tricky indefinite pronoun
Read the sentence like this.. Everybody must bring ____ own bag lunch.....this is basically your whole sentence
everybody is singular....so you would use " his "
so whats the anwser
lol @texaschic101 just gave it to you. If everybody is singular...and 3rd person, then you would use the only pronoun that is 3rd person singular, which is "his"
thank you
