Can we use constant acceleration equations on spring problems? a) no, because a is proportional to x b) yes, because F is proportional to x c) yes, because we have a constant, k, in Hooke’s Law d) no, because the period is not the same

Im thinking its D

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

no, you cannot. with a spring, F is proportional to x because Hooke's Law tells us that F = kx. thus, a is proportional to x, as F = ma. all of which means that a = kx, and NOT a = "some constant".

oh ok thanks so much!
