Which is an example of Tom's ability to use his wit and cunning to his own advantage? A. his insisting that he'd rather be an outlaw in Sherwood Forest for one year than President of the United States forever B. his new habit of arriving at school early and waiting at the gate rather than playing with his friends C. his confessing to speaking with Huckleberry Finn so that the teacher will punish him by making him sit near Becky Thatcher D. his giving Aunt Polly's cat, Peter, some of the pain killer and causing the cat to run around the house in a frenzy

What is Becky Thatcher's biggest problem after going to the picnic, and how is it resolved? A. She accidentally tears the school teacher's book, but Tom takes the blame for it. B. She loses the ribbons in her hair, but Tom finds them for her. C. She and Tom get lost in the cave, but Tom finds a way out. D. Tom decides he likes Amy Lawrence more, but Becky wins him back by being brave in the cave.
this is why i think its c Complication Before the picnic, Becky told her mother that she was spending the night at a friend's house; Tom has told his aunt the same thing. As such, no one realizes that the two are missing until around noon the next day. Climax While looking for a way out of the cave, Tom sees someone holding a candle coming around the corner. He shouts for joy, only to realize that his would-be rescuer is in fact Injun Joe, a vicious murderer who already has a bone to pick with Tom. Luckily, Tom manages to avoid being seen and return to Becky. Suspense Even after he escapes from Injun Joe, Tom still needs to get out of the cave; it's sort of an "out of the frying pan and into the fire…then right back into the frying pan" situation. Denouement After some more searching, Tom finds a small hole at the end of a dark passage. He and Becky escape from the caves and make their way back to town. After recovering a little, Tom heads over to see Becky; when Becky's dad, Judge Thatcher, tells him that the cave's entrance has been sealed, Tom reveals that Injun Joe is in the cave.
@Tishockjo

It is better to confront those who mean you harm than to hide from them.

Never read this book. You should try to read it before asking for help. We can't really give direct answers. This is literally in the text. Good luck with your test.
I thinking man but I would go with C :))
