OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Any idea? Just think inside your head, if the sample is fair or biased. If it's not, it's random

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont get it... they seem like there all random

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Let's take "B.A sports store asks customers whether or not they enjoy basketball." Asking people if they enjoy a sport when they are in a sports store is pretty biased.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when they are in a sports store how would that be biased?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Aren't they bound to like sports more if they are shopping at a sports store? Wouldn't it be more biased than asking people randomly on the street?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

So B is definitely not a random sample, do the same for the rest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@dtan5457 is it A? their both random

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Yup, A would my choice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx
