@dan815 Could you see if I got this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Give the coordinates of a shape that can be rotated about the y-axis to create a cylinder.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The shape that can be rotated quickly about the y-axis to create a cylinder is a rectangle. In order to prove this I created a rectangle with the coordinates of A (0, 5), B (0,1), C (1, 1), and D (1, 5). Now I quickly rotate my rectangle about the y-axis, this forms another rectangle with a coordinates of A (0, 5), B (0, 1), C (-1, 1) and D (-1, 5). When these two are observed next to each other, it can be seen that a a cylinder is formed, which proves that if a rectangle is rotated about the y-axis it will create a cylinder.
