@zepdrix

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

its that \(\dfrac w{(6)^2}\) or \(\left(\dfrac w6\right)^2\)

OpenStudy (bananas1234):

ok how did u get that?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

i am trying to clarify the question, which of these two is your question?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

Is it Simplify: (w/6)^2 or Simplify: w/(6^2)

OpenStudy (bananas1234):

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

oh ok, well , when you have a-power of some fraction, \[\left(\frac ab\right)^n\] simplify i, by taking that power , and putting it on the numerator and denominator individually (like this) \[\left(\frac ab\right)^n=\frac{a^n}{b^n}\]

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

|dw:1428999788814:dw| now simplify the denominator . . .
