1. Write the equation of the line with a slope of -5 and a y-intercept of (0,3).
Do you know your equation without any of that stuff added ?
no
wouldnt it be \[y=mx+b\]
maybe but where do the numbers go in that?
m is your slope and b is your y-intercept
so it would be 0,3=-5
no your y-intercept is only the y which in this case is 3
this is confusing
okay have you done this before?
every time someone tells me how to do it, it just sounds like they make it up as they go
slope is one of the only things that will not click with me
here is an example my slope is 6 and my y-intercept is 9 \[y=6x+9\]
see where they go ?
but if your y is 9 then why wouldnt it go in the back
in the front*
i forget i havent done algebra for two years but as i got to looking at your equation they should give you coordinates and a y-intercept they dont give you anymore info for your question?
nope
1. Write the equation of the line with a slope of -5 and a y-intercept of (0,3). 2. Write the equation of the line with a slope of -1/3 and passing through the point (6, -4). 3. Write the equation of the line passing through the points (0, -4) and (-2, 2). 4. Write the equation of the line passing through the points (-6,1) and (-4,2). 5. Write the equation of the line with an undefined slope, passing through the point (2, 5). Hint: refer back to project 4.04 for help with this one.
oky is your question multiple choice?
they gave me 5 and thats all that was there
well algebra has obviously gotten harder ill tag some people who should be able to help you one minute
thank you
this is actually liberal arts math @Emma_1997
oh okay.. these people should be able to help you they have helped me in the past @iGreen @dan815
dan dont never help me when i tag him!
@texaschic101
@Compassionate @thomaster
