Okay when he scooped this .. 18 peanuts, 8 cashews, 10 almonds, and 9 walnuts. .. What was the ratio of peanuts to how many nuts he scooped

18 to 27?

now we know the ratio to expect in any number of nuts * so 18/(27+18) * 30 = number of peanuts to be expected in 30
