Will give medal and fan to anyone that helps! Find the zeros of the following polynomial. P(x) = 5x^2 + 22x + 8 a. x = 2/5 ; x = 4 b. x = -2/5 ; x = -4 c. x = -2/5 ; x = 4 d. x = 2/5 ; x = -4

Hi there! What have you tried so far?

im not sure where to start ):

OpenStudy (dan815):

P(x) = 5x^2 + 22x + 8 We are trying to find the x values that make this function 0 so, 0= 5x^2 + 22x + 8 Now you can use the quadratic formula or solve this by first putting them in factored form 0 = 5x^2 + 22x + 8 =(ax+b)(cx+d) you have to figure out what a,b,c,d, are so that multiplication of these 2 brackets gives back the expression you started with
