Medal for anyone that can help what is the circumference of the given circle in terms of pie? https://www.connexus.com/content/media/886560-722013-114720-AM-13942095.jpg a. 14(pie sign) in b. 28(pie sign) in c. 42(pie sign) in d. 196(pie sign) in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't see the picture or link it says i need to log in can you screenshot or draw it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how in the world do you add images in here @alisyed5865

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you're on a computer there's a button at the bottom beneath the typing section which says attach file, but if that's too much just draw it. Like click the draw button

iYuko (iyuko):

He said pie

iYuko (iyuko):

It's spelt Pi meaning 3.14159...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the circumference of a circle what's the formula for that? Do you know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iYuko i know that but i forgot how to solve it, like the whole radius stuff at first i thought your s supposed to multiply them both @alisyed5865 that pie is 3.14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh no no so the circumference of a circle is given by the formula \[2\pi r \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So your r is 14 So you can do 2(14)(pi)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did that put none of it equaled any of the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Leave pi in there haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's just 14 times 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 28 pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg thanks so much can you help me with one more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i feel like such an idiot because we learn this stuff in Middle school but that feels like so long ago...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area is Pi(R^2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's okay haha, everyone forgets stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9.8 IS THE DIAMETER AND RADIUS IS 1/2 THAT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So radius is 4.9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 4.9^2 times pi should be your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for the help!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problems! Remember the formula's now!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes c: and i' ve already gave you a medal
