Please help will medal best answer!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes you act because of something that has happened; that is a reaction. Other times, you act because you have goals or objectives. For instance, Hernando de Soto's men stuffed his dead body into a hollow log because they were afraid vengeful Indians would mutilate it. La Salle, on the other hand, was exploring with a goal - to find the mouth of the Mississippi River. Using your textbook and online historical resources, find three examples of actions that occurred during this time in reaction to something else. Then find three examples of actions that occurred because someone had a specific objective or goal.
I believe they are asking for whatever book you are reading, to give a reason, and action. For example lets say I run away from a bear. i Ran from the bear of fear of me getting hurt or mutilated. So examples like that should be in the book. Challenge yourself with the best and unusual reason and actions you can find.
you mean like i would run and hide when i get out of the bears sight? soemthing like that?
Well you have a motive and an action. So another example would be Because I have an excess of apples I to give them away. To give away apples is the motive, the apples are action and the excess is the motive. Kina understand now?
no i'm still really lost sorry :(
So lets use the example they give us "For instance, Hernando de Soto's men stuffed his dead body into a hollow log because they were afraid vengeful Indians would mutilate it." The motive is that they were afraid that the vengeful Indians would destroy the body. The action was hiding it in a log. A motive and an action is what they gave an example of.
