WILL MEDAL AND FAN!! PLEASE HELP!! Give the coordinates of a shape that can be rotated about the y-axis to create a cylinder. Provide an explanation and proof for your answer to receive full credit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not 100% sure how to do this, so help would really be appreciated :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would the coordinates (1,1) (1,4) (6,1) and (6,4) be good? If so, how would I prove it?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, that looks good, but maybe it has to be touching the x and y-axis..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should I change to coordinates then? What about (4,0), (4,5), (0,0), and (0,5)

OpenStudy (igreen):

Those points look great.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. What would I do next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello??

Does anyone know how I would prove that the coordinates make a cylinder? @pooja195
