@Astrophysics

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

What's the area of a triangle?

OpenStudy (ayyookyndall):

Could I say this? A = 1/2 (Base x Height) A = (6.9 x 4) 6.9 x 4 = 27.6 27.6 / 2 = 13.8 A = 13.8 cm^2

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Looks good!

OpenStudy (ayyookyndall):

Okay. Can you help me with one more?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Sure

OpenStudy (ayyookyndall):

Here you can go somewhere real quick. I have to do something for my mom. I will tag you when I am done. :)

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Haha ok

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

posting anew gets more eyes, and thus more exposure and we can also revise each other

OpenStudy (ayyookyndall):

@campbell_st (My answer is at the top.) Should I leave it how it is? Or do the equation on how I did the other one?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the question on the triangle uses a measurement to 1 decimal place. Its normally accepted practice to express you answer with the same accuracy... unless you are asked to round. So for me 13.8 cm^2 is a correct answer

OpenStudy (ayyookyndall):

So I did the equation and my work correctly? @campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

yes, its all fine. for ease most people woudl write it as \[A = \frac{1}{2} \times 6.9 \times 4\] just saves a line of calculation. But you method is fine

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Guess you doubted my check :P
