Given 4c + 5 = 0 and c Is a real number what is the multiplicative inverse of 4c + 5?

OpenStudy (amorfide):

the multiplicative inverse would be what you would multiply something by to make 1 for example multiplicative inverse of 8 is 1/8 because 8 times 1/8=1

OpenStudy (amorfide):

you basically do the reciprocal of the given number or expression to get its multiplicative inverse

OpenStudy (amorfide):

if you are still stuck let me know

OpenStudy (amorfide):

just incase you ever come back multiplicative inverse is the reciprocal of the given expression or number our expression is equal to 0 so our multiplicative inverse is the reciprocal of 0 the reciprocal is the number or expression raised to the power of negative 1 \[0^{-1}=\frac{ 1 }{ 0 }\] you can not divide by 0 therefore it has no multiplicative inverse
