How does Jamaica's government differ from those of other former colonies in the Caribbean, such as Puerto Rico? Jamaica's government insisted on the abolishment of slavery. Jamaica's government changed radically following its independence. Jamaica is nominally ruled by a constitutional monarchy inspired by Spain. Jamaica has a bicameral parliament, and remains a member of the British Commonwealth.

You are right, it's D. Jamaica and the Caribbean itself were apart of the British commonwealth and colonies. They were assigned British Governors who oversaw trade and law (and were placed there by the King of England himself.) Just think of Pirates of the Caribbean :)
