Area = length x width Perimeter = length + width Therefore, an example would best be suited here. Area = 5 x 6 = 30 Perimeter = 5 + 6 = 11 (Just using random variables to support their hypothesis)

We're just testing their hypothesis to see which one is in fact correct. To say that two items need the same perimeter to have the same area cannot be possible. My best bet would be for D, but I would need to do some serious variable plugging to confirm their hypothesis.
